The Spinners made it three straight wins in a dominating performance in Malden Wednesday night with a 12-2 mercy rule shortened victory over the Athletics. Luc Kocher pitched four shutout innings, giving up just one hit while striking out three. Leading 2-1 in the fifth, the Spinners scored seven runs and three more in the sixth. Ricky Salvia led the offense with three hits and drove in four runs. Mike Knell scored twice and drove in two runs to lead the offense.
