The Boston Park League playoffs kicked off with an exceptional pitchers dual between Fernando Burgos for ADSL and Will Levangie for Towne as runs were at premium in the opener. Burgos went 6.2 innings striking out 10 while setting down 19 consecutive Towne batters during a period of the game. Levangie scattered 6 hits over 6 innings and picked up 5 strikeouts of his own. ADSL was led offensively by Andrew Elliott who added two separate RBI singles. Eddie Riley also had two hits for the home team. Towne made it very interesting in the 7th. After a two out error, they collected consecutive singles to push the game to 2-1. Bobby Tramondozzi relieved Burgos and was helped out by a game saving diving play by 2nd basemen Ryan McCormick to end the threat. The series continues Monday at 8PM at Kelly Field.
