The Red Dogs jumped out to an early 4-1 lead before a 3-run home run by Brian McCarthy tied to score at 4. The Dogs retook the lead 5-4 in the top of the 6th, but the Cubs came back again in the bottom of the inning when a 2-run McCarthy double and an RBI single by Kiyo Gomi gave the Cubs the lead for good. Billy McGee went the distance for the victory.
