The Royals took on the red hot Malden Braves who came into today winning their last 10 games. Chris Johnson took to the mound for the Royals the threw 6 innings of four hit ball and allowed only 2 runs (both unearned). With the game tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 5th, Mike Ahearn broke the tie with an RBI groundout and Derek Palatino capped off the inning with a two run single. The Royals tacked on 7 more runs in the sixth as the Braves relief pitching struggled to find the plate and Kevin Ceurvels and Mike McKie each added two run singles in the inning. The Royals take on the North Shore Giants next week at Fraser Field in Lynn.
