CAMBRIDGE SPINNERS WIN TITLE! The Spinners capped off their extraordinary season with a 13-5 win over Ben's Dream White Sox to win the championship series three games to one. Marty Clarke earned the win, going five innings and striking out three. Dan Blum pitched the last two innings in relief to seal the championship. Cambridge's offense exploded for 15 hits and were led by Ryan Gaffney, who had four hits and drove in four runs. Isaac Valvidiezo had two hits, including a triple and drove in four runs. Omar Cacers had three hits, inlcuding two doubles and drove in two runs. Eight different Spinners had hits and everyone in the lineup reached base at least once. The White Sox played hard and refused to quit. Anthony Morales had three hits and he and Alex Weldon drove in two runs each. Congratulations to the Cambridge Spinners on an historic first title and to Ben's Dream White Sox for a hard-fought playoff run.
