Ryan Platzbecker continued his assault on GPMABL hitters in the second game. Three unearned runs crossed the plate in the bottom of the first, but Platzbecker settled in and the Comets offense woke-up quickly. Platz struck out 12 Brawlers and allowed five runs in the complete game victory. A rare defensive clunker by the Comets resulted in six unearned runs on a season-high four errors. "El Palo Grande", Jared Shelly, held his Memorial Day barbeque a week late, picking up three big steaks for the Comets. Shelly's second inning single plated two and was part of a nine run inning that put the game out of reach early. The Comets had eight consecutive hits in the second inning, only to be broken-up by a Matt Gionta bases-loaded walk, followed by another hit by Baker DeCamp.
