Chad Griffiths and Jay O'Hara took to the hill Saturday nite as divison rivals matched up for the first time this year. Both pitchers pitched well, battling out of jams at different points keeping the game close. A Jon Mayes RBI double in the 5th would break a 1-1 score, but the Grays would respond right back when Branche (1-1, 2 RBI's) hit a single to right scoring Gulinello, however a perfect 9-3-2 relay would bang Potter out at the plate ending the rally and keeping the game tied. In the 6th, with 2 outs the Tigers loaded the bases on 2 walks and a HBP setting the plate for red-hot leader Jon Silky (1-1, R, 3 RBI's, SB, SAC), who squeezed a single to left scoring 2. The Tigers tacked on 2 more runs in the top of the 7th, before J. Lam would come in with the bases loaded to get a strike out to pick up the save and give the Tigers their 3rd straight win.
