The Mariners finished out the season with a victory over the Diamondbacks thanks to a tremendous complete game effort by Nick Baseel plus some timely hitting. Baseel went the distance and allowed 3 hits and only 1 unearned run. For the offense, Chris Corde and Steve Limoges each had 2 hits and Pat Walters notched 2 RBI. Congratulations to the Dbacks, who put together an outstanding inaugural season. They faced a tremendous amount of adversity that would have broken apart most other teams. But instead, this group banded together and formed a solid core that will be back with a vengeance in 2009.

Baseel notched the CG win, while Corde and Walters supplied the offense.
