Eric Harvey spun his second consecutive shutout and the 'stros edged the O's 1-0 at Jones Field in Acton. Those in attendance witnessed a true pitchers duel. Victor Ruiz was very effective and is by far the best 0-4 pitcher in MABL history. He was perfect after the first when he allowed a hit and a bases loaded walk to Tyler Walsh for the only run of the day. It was the little things that made the difference. Right fielder Jon Mayes robbed lead-off Oriole Ryan Bere in the first with a diving catch in left center. The stros played excellent defense behind Harvey throughout the game and got help from two crucial baserunning errors by the Orioles. Harvey finished with a flourish, ending the game by striking out dangerous hitter Jay Thomas with a gutsy 3-2 back-up deuce.
