The White Sox extended their franchise-best winning streak to 9 games behind a 3-hit complete-game performance from Al Wiesner. In addition to gainning his second win, Al also notched 7 K's and scored the Sox first run after leading of the Sox game with a walk. The Sox also extended their lead in the Atlantic Conference to 2-games ahead. Dave Martin continued his hot hitting, going 2 for 2 with yet another double, his third on the day. Mike McInnis capped off the game with a 2-run homer in the 6th inning, scoring himself and Brett Rudy who had walked. For the Orioles, their lone run came in the 1st inning when Matt Udell walked and later scored on a Jay Thomas rip single. Jason Bressner was also a defensive star in the outfield across both games, robbing no less than 3 hits, 2 of which would have gone for extra bases at the outfield fence. George Haseltine tossed a complete game, but took the loss.
