The Diamondbacks had an offensive explosion in the second game of the doubleheader against the Reds. In a true team effort, every D'back starter had at least one hit and one run scored. Doing the most damage for the D'backs were Tommy Bligh (3 for 3, 2 RBI and 2 Runs), Jeremy Broadwell (2 for 2, 3 RBI and 3 Runs), Brian Kilpatrick (2 for 3, 4 RBI and 2 Runs), Bill Schellbach (2 for 3, 2 RBI and 2 Runs) and Josh Congdon-Martin (3 for 4, 2 RBI and 2 Runs). The team had a relentless hitting performance as they batted around in 3 of the 5 innings played and 9 of their 18 hits were for extra bases. Bligh pitched a complete game for the D'backs, allowing only 3 hits and 3 earned runs. |
