The Cambridge Spinners stopped all hopes of a White Sox comeback by defeating Boston 2-1 to win game five and the semi-final series three games to two. Chris Muse-Fisher pitched a complete game, giving up one run on four hits while striking out six. Cambridge scored both of their runs in the bottom of the second inning. Mike Navarro singled to lead off the inning and later scored on a Peter Alain single. With the bases loaded, Colin Sullivan drew a walk that brought in Ryan Feeney. The Spinners defense kept the White Sox off the board for the rest of the game. Boston stranded runners in scoring positions in the fourth and fifth innings, thanks to brilliant defense by the infield of Navarro, Sullivan, Feeney, Muse-Fisher and Greg Megerdichian. The White Sox took the lead in the top of the first, when Rommel Peguero singled and later scored on a Marcos Reyes single. Seth Perkins pitched a complete game with four strikeouts.
