The Cambridge Spinners outlasted the Middleboro Red Sox and took over first place with a 6-2 win. Chris Muse-Fisher pitched four innings of no-hit ball in relief for his first win of the season. Bryan Goosens and Marty Clarke carried the Spinners the rest of the way on the mound. The Spinners scored first with a Ryan Feeney single that drove in Isaac Valdiviezo. They retook the lead in the third with runs from Mike Knell and Mike Tufo. Cambridge broke the game open in the fourth when Valdiviezo and Ricky Salvia drew walks and scored. Joe Tufo scored on a Mike Tufo double later in the inning. The Red Sox scored both of their runs in the second inning, Marty Lannan and Kyle Holmberg scored to give Middleboro a brief 2-1 lead. Andrew Ferrazanni started for the Red Sox, striking out three. Nick Radcliffe came on in relief, striking out two.
