The Athletics got on the board early an often, smacking 11 hits and scoring 8 runs to advance to the Wild Card final on Thursday night against the 13-9 Merrimack Valley Marlins. Alec Christain threw 5 solid innings for the victory, and went 3-3 at the plate to pace the Athletics. In his last MABL game, Grays legend and stalwart manager, Tom Plumitallo, went 2-3 at the plate. Tom has played over a decade in the league, winning a championship with the Grays in 2012. He has always been a great competitor, and the Athletics wish him the best in the future.
