The defending champion Mocka Rays started off their title defense on the right foot by trouncing the Merrimack Marlins 11-1 in Middleboro Sunday afternoon. 2nd year pitcher Cam Breault got the opening day nod, and limited the Marlins to just 1 hit over 4 innings of work, while striking out 4. The Rays bats wasted no time going to work, with Tommy Lenane scoring the seasons first run in the top of the first to make it 1-0. In the 2nd, Evan Chand would start off the rally with a lead off walk and came around to score following a Bill Ferdinand double to the gap.
