The A's and Spinners played a tight game, with the A's victorious thanks to a stellar performance by Jason Kurtz on the hill, and timely hitting. The A's scored one in the first, thanks to an RBI single by Matt Asdornvuittikrai. The Spinners would tie it up in the second by loading the bases with no outs, and getting an RBI single by Joe Tufo. Kurtz, however, would limit them to 1 run in the inning. In the 3rd, the A's played small ball, getting 2 bunt hits, and capitalizing on a throwing error. Warren Asdornvuittikrai would also plate a run with a single. The Spinners got one in the 6th, and threatened in the 7th. With the winning run on 2nd and 1 out, Breidenstine came in for the save, striking out the final 2 hitters to stifle the Spinners rally.
