MIchael Thater pitches six strong innings picking up the win as Grossman Marketing improves to 9 and 5. Freddi Carerra (2 FOR 4; 2SB) starts the scoring for Grossman with a triple in the second knocking in Malloy. Palmer evens the score at two all with hits by JP Songin, Frank Alexopolous and Shane Stande in the fifth. With two outs and the bases loaded in the sixth, singles by Franz Strassmann, Rick Salvucci (3 for 4) and Sam Canales give Grossman a four run lead. Johnny Phelan leads off the bottom of the seventh with a home run cutting the lead to three. Jim Perry relieves Thater and shuts the door getting the save.
