Grossman and Palmer square off in a terrific battle on a bonus night when many games are cancelled with heavy rains earlier in the day. Grossman opens the scoring in the first with a Salvucci double and sacrifice fly by Tenaglia. Palmer responds with two in the second and third innings for the 4-l lead. Grossman picks up four in the 4th to take a 5-4 lead and finish the scoring. Palmer makes things interesting loading the bases in the 7th with one out but Perry gets a line drive out and the games ends on a nice running catch in left field by Carerra. For Grossman, Salvucci, Carerra and Findley have multi-hit games. Pierce and Songin have two hits a piece for Palmer; Seropian is on base four times. The Williams brothers throw well for Palmer. Derek Dubois picks up his first Park League win. Perry gets the save with three scoreless innings.
