PJ Gouthro (4-0) pitched 6 1/3 innings of no-hit baseball before giving up a line drive single to Pat McKenna of the Padres. Gouthro was effectively wild as he walked 4 Padres and striking out 4 in the game before giving way to Chris Anderson (Roger Williams) who earned his first career Park League save.
Palmer was led offensively by the Brockton combo of Shane Stande and Brian Medairos whom both had a pair of RBI's. Stande also showed off a strong arm as he threw out two Padres consecutively at 2B in one inning. Roger Williams University's (via Braintree) Joe Hock had a workman-like night as he reached base twice via HBP and a walk but showed off his versatility flipping across the field to play 3B for the first time in his Park League career. Hock displayed a rocket arm slinging the ball around the diamond effortlessly.
