The Mariners got back on track with a 1-run win over the Reds on Saturday, the team's 4th win by a 1-run margin. These cardiac kids pulled off the victory thanks in large part to M's pitcher Nick Baseel. Baseel pitched 6 strong innings, limiting the Reds to 4 hits, before Matt Dumont came on to close the door in the 7th. The Reds had a chance to tie or take the lead with 1 out and the bases loaded in the 7th, but Jeff Rausch was able to snag Mike Ciano's bid for a hit, doubling the runner off of first base. For the M's, Dave Salafia knocked in Matt Dumont for the game's first run, and Jay LaPointe walked with the bases loaded to account for the winning run. For the Reds, Jonathan Courtemanche went the distance and pitched a very good game, while Steve Altmann drove in the lone Reds run.

Baseel got the W, while Sal and Dumont accounted for the offense.
