The Rangers overcame a fast start by the Dbacks to win 7-4 on Saturday. Doug Rexrode battled for 6 innings on the hill, earning the win. Neil Doherty pitched the 7th for the save. Kurt Matarese and Omar Ortiz opened the game with a single and a walk for the Dbacks. Then, Roger Peguero hit a 3-run homer to the right center gap to put some early pressure on the Rangers. Down 3-2 in the 4th, the Rangers scored four. Chad Besegai (2-2) doubled in a run. Andy Katz drove in two with a bases loaded single. The Rangers added an insurance run in the 6th when Davin Wilfrid tripled and Chris Caprio drove him in with a sac fly. Ranger fans look forward to next weekend when the 'Gers have a rare Saturday night/Sunday morning stint.
