This was an epic battle between the two best teams in the league. 21 wins is incredible and both teams deserved to win. The Orioles jumped out to a 3-0 in the first but the Cardinals came right back and tied it at 3 after 1. In the 3rd, the Orioles loaded the bases on 3 straight walks. Steve Paddock then hit one of the hardest balls you will ever see hit and knocked in 2 with the laser beam single. The Orioles scored 4 to go up 7-3. The Cardinals chipped away and finally tied the game at 8-8 in the 8th. The score was 8-8 after 9 and it took 2 more innings to settle the championship. Zak Platts and Al Wong both pitched well in relief. Both pitchers ended multiple innings with emotional strike outs pumping up their respective teams.
