SALEM -- In the intermission, the Mariners smallest player, Billy Hunt, stepped up in a big way by negotiating the delivery of pizza to the field. Head Umpire Ed Macarelli helped himself to an unprecedented 3 pieces - considerably more than the suggested allotment. Given Macarelli's rocky history with Hunt, the Mariners let it slide as a peace offering. The pizza was devoured quickly, but Norfolk County was still hungry, as they feasted on Dodgers pitching. Led by Jon Cushman (3-4,3R,2RBI,2SB) & Paul Everett (3-3,2B,3RBI,BB) the M's scored 8 in the first 4 frames. DJ Goldberg tossed a casual 5 scoreless on his way to his 2nd win of the day. The broomsticks were out following the sweep, a welcome sign in Salem, as the Dodgers pondered when they will wake up from the haunted nightmare that is their 0-9 start to the 2017 season.
