Giants send their Ace, John Surette (3-0) to take the hill in a make-up game against the Red Tide in Lawrence. The game was a pitcher's duel with both pitchers going tit for tat through the first three innings until Brian Maynard got the scoring started in the 4th with a rope double scoring Justin Oblenes. Timely hitting from there would plate three more for the 4-1 win over the Red Tide. Surette dazzled, pounding the strike zone to the tune of 10Ks while limiting the Red Tide to just 3 hits. Surette carried a shutout through 6 2/3 innings until giving up a run on an RBI single but ultimately secured the CG victory.
