Lexington defeated second place Andre for the first time this season and moved 12 points ahead of the Chiefs with the 9-4 win Wednesday night at Lexington High School. Mike Morgan and Justin Wright drove in three runs each. Pete Frates, Steve Gath and Wright each scored twice and Frates had three hits. Matt Karis, 4-1, pitched six innings, giving up six hits, four runs and striking out three. Jared Freni suffered his first loss of the season giving up eight runs in four+ innings. He gave up seven hits, walked three and struck out five. Matt Boleski (1b) and Jeff Bercume (W) drove in runs for the Chiefs.
