The South Shore Cardinals took game 1 of the best of 3 Championship series against the Expos Thursday Night. Mike Bruemmel got the rock for the red birds and spun a gem. Bruemmel finished with a Complete game shutout allowing just 1 hit and striking out 9. Bruemmel (1-2 2B) scored the lone run for Cardinals in the 3rd on a passed ball which proved to be enough for the victory. Scott Felper and Colin Fiorentino both pitched very well for Expos. The Cardinals look to close out the series on Sunday at Twi Field.
