Dan Milano dusted off the cobwebs on his catching equipment and supplied Towne with a reliable backstop in this game, even throwing out the first runner to test his arm in the first inning. The top of the Towne lineup provided the punch in this one; Hoyt and Emmertz each contributed 2 hits, and Venditti reached base twice.
