Towne wins the rubber match against Palmer in convincing fashion. Nearly everyone in the Towne lineup went "beast mode" and hit safely in this contest, with a surprise 4-hit performance from Mark Bentson. Hoyt and Bowen also added 3 hits apiece. Alden Brooks Parker, filling in for Dan Milano, also laced an RBI single in the seventh inning. Picco bounced back beautifully after receiving a verbal warning from the umpiring staff in the third inning, tattooing an RBI double in the sixth. Finally, Towne veteran Billy Collins collected his 200th Park League career hit in this game, a scorcher down the first base line. Suffice to say, Towne was utterly locked in with the bats in this one. Farrell looked solid through 5 innings, allowing 2 earned runs while keeping the Palmer offense quiet. Rooney closed out the game, pitching the final 2 innings. Palmer's Kyle Power added a two-run home run in the sixth inning.
