The White Sox had a comanding lead of 6-1 going into the bottom of the sixth when the Reds bats came alive scoring 7 times to take an 8-6 lead. The innings was capped off by a bases loaded triple from catcher Ryan Melia. Pitcher Jonathan Courtemache went the distance picking up the win, and Steve Altman made a great play at third to seal the deal for the Reds. For the White Sox, an outstanding pitching effort by Matt LoPresti was squandered in the 6th due to poor defensive play, walks, and clutch Reds hitting. John Byrne was 2-3 with a Dbl and an RBI and rookie Jon Naumowicz crushed a 2-run triple.
