Backed by a complete game shutout by Jose Pena, the Spinners won their fifth game in a row with a 4-0 win. Pena gave up five hits while striking out nine. Greg Megerdichian was hit by a pitch in the sixth and Armando de los Santos reached on an error in the sixth. Mike Knell drove in both runs on a single.
