The Astros scored five runs in the first and tacked on two more in the second on their way to a convincing win over the Randolph Red Sox. Sean Kennedy cruised to victory with a complete game shutout. He allowed only two singles and struck out ten while facing only two more than the minimum number of batters. Mike Vernon lead the way offensively for the Astros banging out three of the team's eleven hits including a triple. The 'stros catcher scored three runs, drove in another, and erased the only Red Sox player to attempt a steal. Rich Newman broke out by going 2-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two. Cory Edgar (1-for-3) also drove in two, one with a sac fly and one with a hit. Tyler Walsh and Jesse Peterson each added two hits and an RBI. The 'stros are now even at 3-3 as are the Red Sox at 1-1.
