This was a thriller, down to the wire in an extra inning. Dave Joseph rebounded from game 1 for Brockton and pitched a terriffic complete game, striking out 2 and walking only 2. Thunder starter Dave Patnaude worked 5 strong innings for no decision, giving up only 2 hits and striking out 5, walking only 1. Mike Johnson relieved and pitched strong in the 6th and 7th, but had a shaky eighth. Tony Onello led off the Thunder 8th with a single, took second on Brian Chen's SAC bunt (Chen reached on an error). Todd Thompson doubled home 2 runs, scoring later on a single by Bill Smith that turned into the game winner. In the Brockton 8th, Lamis singled, then Johnson walked LaGreca and Thekarski, then Pete Celonis singled in 2, and Ted Mansulla walked. Bases loaded, none out. McGee flied to left, but Ted Maravelias made the catch backing up, and relayed a throw to the plate to cut down Thekarski trying to tag for the double play. John
