Victor Ruiz collected his 3rd consecutive win of 2006 for the Padres going 7 strong innings, striking out 11 Orioles and only giving up 3 hits. Taylor and Jordan of the Orioles scored early in the 1st inning. Ronnie,Jordan and JT were the only hits (singles) for the O's. KBell pitched for the O's and had 2 out in the bottom of the second inning and walked #3 batter Ortiz, Chris Buckley then hit a two-run homerun over the left field fence. The homerun ending up being the deciding factor for the rest of the game as the Orioles could not get any offense going. It was a great game for both sides and the Padres picking up their 3rd win. on another Padre note.... Alex Familia was released for conduct detrimental to the team and will not return to the Padres Organization.
