Sean Magee picked up his third win of the season, pitching 5 innings and giving up 2 runs. Derek Garabedian recorded his first save of the season pitching a scoreless sixth and seventh. The Marlins jumped out front on an RBI single from Chris Ryan. Magee then hit a solo homerun to tie it up. The Marlins came back with another run in the fifth on an RBI hit from Andy Herr. The Reds took the lead for good in the fifth, scoring three runs through hits from Mike Ciano and Ryan Chase. They scored three more in the sixth for insurance. Brian Caccavale pitched well in defeat for the Marlins, giving up four over five innings. Chris Ryan had two hits for the Marlins. Derek Garabedian had two hits for the Reds, and Mike Ciano reached base all three times and scored twice. He also threw out a runner attempting to steal second.
