The Giants got down early in game 2 of the doubleheader down 4-1 against the Rockies after 2. Mark Blake (1-1) got hit around through the first two giving up 4 runs by way of 7 hits and a walk. After hitting the first Rockies’ hitter in the 3rd, Blake found his stuff and not a single Rockie made it to the basepaths as Blake was dominant retiring the final 15 batters in a row en route to a complete game win. The Giants waited until the 5th inning to tie the game 4-4 and eventually took the lead in the 6th to win it 6-4 and sweep the doubleheader against the Rockies.
