The Brewers stunned the Cutters in Chelsea, winning 3-1. Backed by six strong innings from starting pitcher Chris Dowd, clutch defensive play from Dan McClorey and the hitting of Joe Mussleman and Chris Greeke, the Brewers won their third game of the season. In the first, Mussleman reached on a fielder's choice and scored on a Greeke single. In the third, Phil Meador reached base after being hit by a pitch and later scored on a Mussleman double. Mussleman was driven in by a Greeke single. The Cutters threatened in the sixth with two on and nobody out, but McClorey made a diving catch on a line drive hit down the first-base line and tagged the base for the unassisted double play. Mike Gentile came on in the seventh for the save.
