Two vets of the BMBL in Vernon and Allen locked horns in Arlington and both pitched extremely well. The difference in this one was a sac fly by Jason LaPointe that scored Jason Ackerson with the go ahead run. Allen was at his best in the later innings, retiring 14 of 15 to finish the complete game 2-hitter. It was a fitting end to a season series that saw Natick take the first game, with Cambridge fighting back to take the second at BB&N, and finally the Cantabs barely edging out the Knights in Arlington.
