Jason Kurtz moved to 6-1 with the complete game victory, allowing only four hits and striking out five. Wade Briggs threw well in the loss for the M's. This was a see-saw battle that saw the A's go on top by scoring two in the 4th, only to see the Mariners score three in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. The A's would scrap together runs in the fifth and sixth to take a one run lead, and hung onto it for the series sweep. For the A's, Andrew Billig went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Santi Mazzeo had two hits.
