In a rain-shortened game, the Quincy Grays were able to hold on for the win against the first place Tigers behind a strong outing by starting pitcher Jack O'Leary. The Grays jumped out to an early lead in the first and tacked on another run in the third. Then in the fifth, the Grays added two more with an RBI single by Scott Brodsky scoring the eventual game winner. The Tigers threatened in the sixth inning scoring three runs off of a double by Scott Stevens. The Grays were able to hold off the rally and hang on for the win.
