Pedro Gil and John Sutich both had three hits to lead the offensive attack as the A's split the season series with the Grays. The A's fell behind 3-0 in the first before striking back quickly to mount a 9-3 lead. The Grays then mounted a rally to bring the score to 9-8 after six, but the A's scored one in the top of the 7th and Kevin McGowan (CG, W, 4 ER) shut the door putting away the heart of the Grays lineup 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th. Chris Barrientos went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs for the Grays.
