Great game today between the Astros and Rangers. The Astros were down three heading into the 7th and scored three runs to send it to extras. They added two more in the tenth when Mike Vernon (2-3, 2RBI) launched a two-run homer to left and held on after allowing a run in the bottom half. With the sacs loaded in the seventh, Tyler Walsh ripped a 2-run double to right center. Walsh (3-4,2RBI) was the tying run when Ron Viola hit a clutch two out single. Billy MacDougall scored three runs for the Rangers and Chris Caprio drove in two. The pitching from both teams was solid. Eric Harvey earned the win after four stellar innings of relief while Jeff James got the loss after going 3.2 IP. Shane Steffens held the Astros to one hit and no runs through four before giving way to Keith Umlauf. Ron Viola started for the 'stros and went four in his first outing. Jaime Manciocchi was strong through the 5th and 6th. Clean game defensively.

Trot goes deep, Walsh stays hot at the plate
