In a second game of the double header it was a back and forth battle for 7 innings. Padres starter Chris Buckley gave up a couple runs in the third, which the Dres got back in the forth, with a long double from Leigh Zancewicz and RBIs for both Mike Minerva and Steve Baldasarai. In the bottom of the 4th Minerva came in relive Buckley after getting into some trouble because of an error and 2 passed balls. The A's scored 4 runs with the heart of their order, Sampson, Sutich, Misph, and Gil. After getting the difference to 2, reliever Andrew Rutkiewicz came in the bottom of the 5th. In the top of the 6th the Padres tied the game with a 2RBI double from catcher Scott Broadsky. After giving up a run in 6th Andrew Rutkiewicz got his first MABL win, when his team picked him up in the top of the 7th with 4 runs. Omar Ortiz, Charles Louma, and Steve Baldasarai all had big hits in the 7th. Julio Gonzalez got the save.
