Jason Kurtz pitched a great game for the Royals as he went the distance allowing only 1 run off of 5 hits. Kurtz also only walked one A's batter while stiking out 9. For the Royals offense, Drew Kowalevicz broke out with a 2 for 3 day including a big 2RBI triple to provide some cushion in the 5th.
