Marlins shot out of the gate for the first time in forever with 5 runs. it was fueled by Andrew Ricci Manny Powers and Ricky Mendez who all recorded hits in the first inning. Marlins didn't let up much later in the game when they recorded 8 runs in the next 3 innings. In the 5th, the Marlins scored 4 more runs to make it 17-0. Beny Sanatan started the game and oitched 3 scoreless innings and receiving the win. Newcomer Danny Jacobs got his second appearance and pitched another scoreless inning.
