Opening night in the Park League started with an exciting extra innings victory for ADSL. Carlson jumped out to an early 3-1 lead with three consecutive two-out singles in the 3rd inning. ADSL fought back with their own rally in the 5th on a 2-RBI triple off the fence from Jack Hocking and an added another run on a wild pitch to lead 4-3.
Tied in the 6th Carlson went to their ace, Yulkin German, who worked out of a jam to keep the score tied at 4-4. ADSL would take advantage of Carlson miscues in the 8th inning to take a 6-4 lead. However, Carlson didn't go away in the last half of the 8th putting the winning run at second base; Frankie Tierney worked out of a jam striking out the last two batters to end the game and pick up the save. |
