Tonights matchup between the Grays and the Padres was a hard fought game. The Padres would jump on top in the top of the first inning with a run but the Grays would answer back in the bottom half of the first inning with three runs of their own. The Grays would never look back on that lead and held it for the remainder of the game. They added one additional run in the bottom of the fifth to win by a final of 4-1. The Grays offense was lead by Steve Baldassari (3-3 3RBI, 1R) and Patrick Potter (2-3 1R). Patrick Potter who had a great day at the plate was also a beast on the mound for the Grays throwing seven innings of one run (unearned) baseball while striking out eight Padres.
