The Marlins edged the Mariners in a crisp extra inning affair at Cleveland Circle. After the Mariners tied the game in the bottom of the 7th at 1-1, with Brendan Power scoring on a clutch two out double by Josh Plosker, the Marlins answered in the top of the 8th. With one out, Josh Misiph tripled to right and scored on a groundout by Pat Allen. The Mariners mounted a threat in the bottom of the inning, with Corey Aldoupolis being stranded at third after his one out triple. Kevin Gallagher took the hard luck loss for the Mariners, going the full 8 innings and allowing only 5 hits.
