The second half of "Face-offs before the Play-offs" had both teams looking to tune up before they meet in Game 1 of the Playoffs, and tune up they did as they combined for 8 runs in the 1st inning. The Reds took advantage of some crafty base running to score 3 in the 1st on RBI singles by Knell and Ciano. Alicea settled down to get out of the inning, and the Tigers bounced right back with 5 of their own on 3 walks and 3 hits, as Morgan (3-3, 2R), KB (2-4, 2R) and Stevens each picked up an RBI. The Tigers held the lead the rest of the way as they put 6 more on the board in the 5th thanks to 6 hits, as Murph started things with a nice poke and scored on a lined 1b by Johnny "New Glasses" Silk.
