The Rockies scored in every inning to help Chris Clark pick up his team 5th win on the season. Dave Mitrou, Kyle Philson, Gary Moran, Bart Lawyer, Brian Cooper, and Geoff Sylvester all had multi hit performances. Gary Moran (3-5, 2R, 4RBI) only needed a double to complete the cycle. Sylvester was right behind him as he pounded both a 3B and HR to drive in 3 runs of his own. Dave Mitrou got back into his usual form scoring 3 times and recording 2SB.

For the Red Sox, a 4 Run 3rd inning was all they could muster. Dan Williams was 3-3 on the day.

The Red Sox and Mariners road trip was full of fire works. The teams must have picked up some offense to go on the way to English from Billings. The two teams combined for 28 hits. Only one player was hitless on the night, and he had three tough outs.

For the Mariners, Mike Freni was 2-3, 2 runs, SB.

On the Red Sox side, Andy Herbine was 4-5, 3B, 4RBI, 3Runs and John Breslin was 3-4, 3RBI, 3Runs.

Dave Salafia, hot plays at the hot corner. Breslin and Herbine power Sox offense.

The Athletics jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on 3 singles, a walk and a balk in the 2nd inning. Ryan Thompson (2-4,RBI,SB) picked up the lone RBI in the inning.

The Sox evened the score in the top of the 3rd. Andy Herbine (1-3,BB,2B,2R) doubled with one out and scored on Cesar Cabral's two out single. Cesar (2-4,2R,2RBI,SB) scored on a double by Jeremy LeBlanc (2-4,2B,2RBI).

The A's Billy Rielly (2-4,3B,R) lead-off the bottom of the 3rd with a triple. Ryan Quinn knocked a single to score Rielly and Brian Pratt (2-3,2B,R,RBI) doubled to the gap in left to score Quinn.

In the top of the 7th, Andy Herbine walked and advanced to third on consecutive ground-outs. LeBlanc drove in Herbine to win.

Ryan Thompson would have had his 30th steal.

Pat Donovan worked a complete game and picked up his first MABL win. Eric Bennett was 2-for-3 and tripled and scored in the first to put the Sox on top. Dan Williams lead off the fourth with a home run. Pat Ellard doubled home Donovan in the fifth and Michael Bautista (2-3, SB RBI) drove in Ellard for some insurance.

The Marlins played superb errorless defense and got a strong effort from Andrew Mierisch who worked a complete game striking out 8.

Donovan earns win #1. Mierisch K's 8. Bill Elliot was 2-for-3 on the night.

Brian Delaney continued his hot hitting at he almost hit for the cycle, going 3-3 with a home run, triple, and single. He was hit by a pitch in his other at bat, scored 3 times and knocked in 3 to lead the Cubs to victory.

The Mariners and Red Sox battled in a true Jeffersonian slugfest. In the top of the first Darren Martineau (3-3, HR,2B,4RBI,R,BB) and Corey Aldopoulis (1-3, HR,2RBI,BB) went deep to stake the M's to a 3-0 lead. The Red Sox answered with a two-out Grand Slam in the bottom if the inning by Jeremy LeBlanc (2-3, HR,4RBI,2R). With two on and two out in the second, the Mariner's got back to back doubles from Rausch and Martineau to retake the lead. The Sox responded with another 5 spot in the third, taking the lead for good by stringing together 4 singles and a walk with two out. Pat Ellard hit a solo homer for the Sox in the 4th and M's RF Josh Plosker hit a two-run job in the 5th to cut the lead to 2. Sox SS Michael Bautista was 3-4 2SB and an RBI.
Dan Williams (2IP,0H,2BB,4K) pitched a hitless 6th and 7th to record the save and preserve Josh Conklin's 5th win of 2002.

Rob Jennings has a night (1-2, R,2RBI, OF Assist) and Williams saves the day. Martineau paced the M's attack.
