The Brewers outslugged the Mets in a game featuring 31 hits overall. The Mets had the tying run on base in the bottom of the 9th inning, but reliever Cary Atsalis closed the door with 5 solid innings of relief to notch the win. It was apparently Brother's Day down in Roslindale. For Middlesex, the Creedon brothers, Jim and Joe, scraped together 5 hits between them. Meanwhile for the Mets, Mark and John Hunter notched 4 hits combined.

Did not look like this game was going to happen, but after the rains cleared out for a while we were able to get in 6 well fought innings in before the rains came back and shortened the game for good. Jeff Roach pitched 5 no hit innings and Steve Lapham pitched the final inning to complete the win . John Hunter pitched a great game for the Mets to keep them in it all the way. The offense was lead by Mike Terrio with a key infield hit to drive in the winning run in the third. Cesar Romero, Billy Rolls and Scotty Sack added a couple of insurance runs later, Solid defense all around by both teams. Several great plays by the Mets outfield held the Vipers from pulling away.
